Hermina Avenue
The architecture of this modern Constantia home has classical influences that were incorporated to suit the surrounding winelands.
Hermina Avenue is beautiful and leafy and still has some heritage homes remaining that capture the vernacular style. This home considers that Cape heritage in a contemporary way, a pitched roof with gable walls was designed to create a traditional form reminiscent of a wine farm barn. The smaller windows and high ceilings create an interior farmhouse manor feel. The landscaping of indigenous plants compliment the stunning views of the Constatiaberg mountain range to the North, all making this a modern version of the original wine-land architecture.
