THE LINK | Foreshore Precinct

The Link is a commercial building in Cape Town’s Foreshore which involves alterations and additions to an existing building. The old Chevron building on the Foreshore of Cape Town was built in the 60’s and extended in the 70’s. This modern commercial building needed a complete reworking of all electrical, fire and mechanical services as well as new lifts and stairwells to become a legitimate A-grade tenant opportunity. The structure of the building includes an exo-skeleton precast concrete facade which made cutting into the structure to create the floating plasma facade a challenge. Bomax redesigned and co-ordinated all the services for the building with the help of a team of expert engineers.
